FW2013 MINIMALISM

As much as I love fashion, I have a very particular taste leaving me for the most part uninterested in the majority of what's produced in the industry. However, what never fails to catch my eye are those classic silhouettes with new and interesting style. Simplicity with some sort of unique contrasting feature or detail be it texture, color or shape. Below are some of my favorite pieces from different designers at Paris Fashion Week. I think they are so fashion-forward and cutting edge, yet possess a timeless and understated classy appeal.
My point? Fashion can be bold without being over-the-top or 'in yo' face'. It doesn't have to be weird, grotesque and messy to be creative. That's where people miss the mark in my opinion, let fashion be thoughtfully orchestrated and mathematical and beautiful. Or maybe I'm just a little boring :).

It's like flowing drapes underneath this peek-a-boo shell. I'm of course always a sucker for draping material.
